Geneva International Motor Show 2002

Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland
Dates
7th to 17th of March 2002
About the Event
Strange, extravagant, luxurious, and purposeful vehicles convered in Geneva, Switzerland, for an annual auto show in a beautiful winter wonderland. On neutral territory, automakers from around the globe showcased their current production vehicles, imminent models, and outlandish concepts. Dominated by the European automakers, there were significant world debuts and many region-specific unveilings, offering an interesting contrast to the preceding Tokyo and Detroit shows.
The Bugatti EB 16-4 Veyron edges closer to the start of production expected before the end of 2003. Seen at previous autoshows, where we've felt the magnetic draw of the 8.0-liter, 1001-horsepower W16 engine, we spotlight this super exotic again, as Bugatti confirmed the current representation is close to series production status.
Just two days after the F1 season raced off the line, Ferrari showcased its updated GT car, the Ferrari 575M Maranello.
