About the Event

Geneva's reputation as a neutral zone among European automakers set the stage for creativity at the 1988 Geneva motor show.

While Volkswagen redesigned the Passat, Toyota showed the Carina II, a Passat challenger, and the BMW 5-series came to be, there were also quirky boutique vehicles such as Erich Bitter's Cabrio.
