Information
Built to commemorate Cadillac's 100th anniversary, the Cien ('one-hundred' in Spanish) is a rear-mid-engined high-performance concept car penned by British designer Simon Cox. It is powered by an experimental 7.5-liter V-12 engine, which features direct injection and displacement on demand, allowing it to run on only eight or fewer cylinders under light load. The monocoque chassis and futuristic angular body are made of composite aerogel, a cutting-edge ultra-light material derived from a gel. The distinctive flat-plane styling would become a Cadillac hallmark through the first decade of the 21st century.
Featured in the 2005 film 'The Island' and in the 2014 film 'Transformers: Age of extinction'
