About the Event
BMW unveiled the Turbo Concept at the 1972 Geneva Motor Show in 1972. Originally built to celebrate the arrival of the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, only two examples were built. The Turbo Concept featured a high-tech digital dashboard, a braking distance radar, foam-filled impact-absorbant side panels, and a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four motor taken from the BMW 2002.
Presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1972, the successor to Ford's 20- and 26M series, called the Granada, was available in three body variants. As a station wagon, the so-called Granada Turnier, as a coupe and as a classic sedan.
