About the Event
Ferdinand Piëch changed the motor sport world forever when he proudly unfurled the cover of the Porsche 917 Chassis 001 for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show at 3:09pm on March 12, 1969. Today, its sleek, aggressive bodywork and the howl of its air-cooled flat-12 have become the stuff of legend.
The Maserati Indy, officially presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 1969, was a tribute to the two consecutive victories of the Maserati 8CTF race cars in the famous 500-mile race at the Indianapolis speedway in 1939 and 1940. This new car was designed by Vignale and was designed to bridge the gap between the Ghibli and the Mexico.
