Geneva International Motor Show 2004

Geneva, Geneva, Switzerland
Dates
4th to 14th of March 2004
About the Event
The annual Geneva Motor Show is the probably most prestigious automobile exposition in the world and therefore a much-loved event by the high-end manufacturers to present new models.
In 2004, Ferrari will focus on Maserati at the Geneva Motor Show: While Ferrari will only celebrate the 612 Scaglietti’s official European premiere (the car is, of course, well known already after its debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January), Maserati will show three new models: The GT-racecar MCC (Maserati Corse Competizione), its roadgoing derivate MCS (Maserati Corse Stradale) and the Maserati GranSport, a more sporting variant of the Maserati Coupé, comparable to the market position and the spirit of the Ferrari Challenge Stradale.
The MCC and the MCS are both based on the Enzo Ferrari, and visually they don’t really try to hide their common origin. The production of the roadgoing MCS will probably be VERY limited. Rumour has it that the MCS comes with a removable hardtop…
Lamborghini will present the Murciélago Barchetta, the roadster variant of their top model, while Bentley — another company of the Volkswagen group — will show a facelifted version of the Arnage.
Rolls-Royce promised to come up with a new body variant of the Phantom; this will probably be a Super-Phantom with even more wheelbase and a maybe even higher roofline. But it could also be the rumoured Phantom cabriolet…
