At the 1988 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, a 1937 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Corto Touring Spider owned by John Mozart won the prestigious Best of Show award. The 1988 event also marked the establishment of the Elegance in Motion Trophy for cars judged most elegant in motion.
