The 21st annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance took place on May 29, 1971. A prewar 1927 Mercedes-Benz S Three-Door Tourer owned by Owen Owens won Best of Show. This marked a historic milestone as the first time a prewar automobile captured the event's highest overall honor.
