About the Event
From 23rd to 25th May 2025, BMW Group Classic in cooperation with the Hotel Villa d’Este will present the legendary Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
Around 50 of the most spectacular Historic Cars from their era will once more compete for the much-coveted trophies awarded by the Jury of distinguished experts. The overall winner of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este will receive the most prized trophy of all the Trofeo BMW Group.
We can’t yet reveal which classic cars will be competing against each other in the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. However, we are able to give you a glimpse of the first award classes which have already been defined by our Sourcing and Selecting Committee:
- Frozen in Time: Preservation ’Time Capsules’ from 1900-1973 which have survived in unrestored State.
- Go Big or Go Home : Automotive Excess of the ‘80s to the new Millennium, when nothing seemed too fast, expensive or bold
- Sculpture in Motion: The Decade of the automotive Arms Race, 1928-1938
- Glorious Excess: The Evolution of the ‘Money no Object’ Motor Car, 1920-1940
There will undoubtedly be an exciting field of amazing participants. We can already promise that now!
As is the case every year, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este will be appropriately complemented by the Villa d’Este Public Days. On the Saturday, you will experience Wheels & Weißwürscht Amici & Automobili in the grounds of Villa Erba. The Sunday brings you the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este Public Day Il Festival. Additional highlights will also await you on both days.
Most importantly, this year marks a number of anniversaries. The 50th anniversary of the BMW 3 Series will be celebrated in the parkland of Villa Erba, while one hundred years of the Rolls-Royce Phantom will be appropriately honoured in the grounds of Villa d’Este. The BMW Isetta (70th anniversary) and the BMW 507 (70th anniversary) will also be showcased with special presentations.
We are delighted to have gained Broad Arrow Auctions, one of the world’s leading auction houses for collector cars, as a partner of the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este from the coming year. Broad Arrow is owned by the North American insurance group Hagerty (NYSE: HGTY) and, from 2025 on, the company will hold an auction in the grounds of Villa Erba every year.
