Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011

About the Event

The theme for the 19th Goodwood Festival of Speed was 'Racing Revolutions - Quantum Leaps that shaped motor sport'. Alongside this the 100th anniversary of the Indianapolis 500 was also celebrated. Jaguar had a big presence at this years event, from celebrating the 60th anniversary of the C-type scoring the first of seven Le Mans victories for the marque, the 50th anniversary of the E-Type. The central feature, was in fact built to resemble an E-Type. Important to note is that predominantly the central feature will have full-working cars that celebrate the chosen theme, however for 2011 the actual statue was the car and there were no vehicles on the sculpture.
