About the Event
With the theme 'Viva Veloce - The passion for speed' the 2010 Festival of Speed also featured a central feature celebrating the 100th anniversary of Alfa Romeo, with two cars featured on the statue, an Alfa Romeo P2 and an 8C Competizione. The central feature had been designed to be in the shape of a clover leaf. Further celebrations at the 2010 edition included the 60th anniversary of Formula 1 World Championship, this year also featured the inaugural Moving Motor Show, which allowed attendees to drive certain cars up the famous hill on the Thursday of the event.
In the timed shootout, first place was taken by an Wolf Williams-Cosworth FW05, driven by Roger Wills with a time of 47.15 seconds. Formula 1 stars, including Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button were in attendance across the weekend.
