Rétromobile 2013
Paris, Île-de-France, France
About the Event
The 38th edition of Rétromobile paid tribute to classic car restorer André Lecoq, founder of Carrosserie Lecoq and a longtime supporter of Rétromobile, who passed away in December 2012. To mark the occasion, Renault Classic exhibited a Renault Twingo Lecoq, of which 50 were produced between 1995 and 1996.
This edition featured 400 exhibitors across 33,000 square meters and marks several anniversaries, including:
- the 30th anniversary of the Peugeot 205
- the 50th anniversary of the Porsche 911, with six models from the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart on display (T7 prototype, 911 Safari SC, 935, Ur-911, 933 Targa, 911 2.7 RS)
- the 60th anniversary of the Shelby Cobra, featuring a 5.4-liter Shelby Cobra 289 V8 and a 7-liter Shelby Cobra 427 V8.
- the 100th anniversary of Roland Garros’ first trans-Mediterranean flight on September 23, 1913.
Outside the pavilions, there was a live demonstration of a replica of the first French locomotive, developed by Marc Seguin in 1929.
