Rétromobile 2011
Paris, Île-de-France, France
About the Event
The 36th edition of Rétromobile was restructured and will now run for five days instead of ten, including one weekend, which will increase daily attendance and reduce costs for exhibitors and the 100 clubs set up across the show’s 33,000 square meters.
Bonhams was replaced by Artcurial, and Youngtimers are making their debut on the show floor alongside motorcycles.
The 2011 show featured over 300 exhibitors, including 60 clubs and associations, and 400 vehicles on display at the Porte de Versailles in Paris.
The highlights of this show were:
- The 100th anniversary of Fangio and the cars with which he was crowned world champion
- The 50th anniversary of the 4L
- The 125th anniversary of Mercedes
- The 80th anniversary of the Citroën Croisière Jaune and the 50th anniversary of the Ami 6
- The Peugeot adventure: a century of performance and records
- The great lineage of BMW convertibles
- The Nissan Z Saga
- A replica of Cugnot’s Fardier (1770) in a dynamic demonstration
- Not to mention the auction of 105 vehicles from 1903 to 2001 from private collections, as well as motorcycles, automotive-themed watches, and even a Riva Tritone motorboat.
