About this model
A special edition limited to 505 units was created in honour of works driver Johnny Cecotto. It adopted the visual equipment attributes of the BMW M3 Evolution II (removal of the fog lamps in favour of brake air inlets, spoiler mechanism) and was fitted with a revised S14 engine delivering 215 hp. Johnny Cecotto's signature was displayed on a plaque positioned in the interior. The valve covers and air collectors were painted in the colour of the vehicle (Misano Red, Macao Blue or Nogaro Silver). Another special edition was created within the Cecotto edition specifically for the market in the United Kingdom. The Ravaglia Edition honoured the racing driver Roberto Ravaglia and his signature embellished the edition.
