Vauxhall Cavalier Super Touring

Information

Build by RML / Ecurie Ecosse in 1993 for the 24 heures de Francorchamps where it was driven by Philippe Adams, Bernard de Dryver and David Leslie. Later driven by Chris Goodwin for two rounds of the British Touring Car Championship.
In 1996, having been updated to 1995-spec, the car was purchased by Ian Heward and raced at selected rounds of the 1996 and 1997 British Touring Car Championship.
From then the car remained un-raced until Oct 2003, although was briefly used as part of a 'Touring Car Experience' program, whereby paying members of the public had the chance to get behind the wheel.
In Oct 2003 the car was purchased by Richard Hawken, and following a one-off outing at Castle Combe was striped and rebuilt ready for the following season. 2004 and early 2005 saw the car being used in the BRSCC Euro Saloon Championship until June 2005 when it was sold to Colin Smith.
Unused until 2014 when it was rebuilt and offered for sale at the 2015 Silverstone Classic auction.
Rebuilt by Cleland Motorsport and put into the livery of the 1994 works test car. Driven by Finlay Crocker at the Ingilston Revival meeting in May 2017 and at the HSCC round at Knockhill the following month.
Purchased by Darren Fielding in 2019 and returned to Spa 24h livery. Fielding would use the car sporadically in the 2019 HSCC and 2022 CTCRC series, eventually selling the car in mid 2022.
