About the Event
The Donington Historic Festival returns to Donington Park for a seventh year on 28-30 April 2017.
With a full weekend of classic racing, incredible displays and a walk-in racing paddock, this is classic motorsport at its finest.
strong style='font-weight: bold;'>Laden with history The Donington Historic Festival really is historic, in every sense of the word. It’s not just the classic cars that have a rich history, the venue itself, Donington Park, has quite the backstory itself.
The circuit first saw race action back in 1933, and has been pretty much busy since. It’s hosted both Formula 1 and MotoGP, and even a few music festivals as well.
So, what better a venue for a proper celebration of classic racing cars? This year’s event will bring together hundreds of incredible historic racing cars, thousands of spectators and dozens of car clubs.
Anyone that attends can sit back and enjoy 3 days of brilliant racing, or they can head down into the race paddocks and see the classics up close. Or, simply enjoy one of the many classic car displays taking place throughout the weekend.

- li>The Mad Jack (for pre-war sports cars)
- The Stirling Moss Trophy (for pre-61 sportscars)
- The Jaguar Classic Challenge (for pre-66 Jaguars)
- The Royal Automobile Club Woodcote Trophy (for pre-56 sportscars)
- The Historic Touring Car Challenge
- The GT & Sports Car Cup (for pre-66 GT and pre-63 sportscars)
After a day of qualifying on the Friday, there are close to 20 races taking place over Saturday and Sunday. That is a whole lot of racing to enjoy!
