Information
This Porsche 911 ST is one of two identical examples ordered in 1970 by the oil company Repsol, the founding father of Spain's first professional racing team. Designed specifically for competition, it was entered in national championships by drivers Eladio Doncel and Alberto Ruiz Giménez.
The vehicle presented here belongs to Alberto Ruiz Giménez, nicknamed 'El Oso.' Along with his teammate, he made a lasting mark on the history of Spanish rallying by winning numerous events and becoming Spanish champion in 1970. The following year, despite a reform favoring national manufacturers, the Repsol team continued to dominate the competitions.
After Doncel retired in 1972 following a serious accident, this car continued its career in the hands of several enthusiasts. It has never been fully restored, retaining a largely authentic patina and some visible traces of its racing past.
