This Porsche 911 S-R, chassis number 9112301019, is a rare example delivered new in 1972 by Porsche's competition department in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen. Prepared to Group 4 specifications, it is equipped with engine number 6622033 and retains its original Light Ivory paint. From the moment it left the factory, it was designed for competition, and its sporting history reflects a sustained commitment to Spanish and international rallies in the 1970s. Its first identified owner was Julio Gargallo, a Madrid-based driver active on the national scene. With his co-driver Ignacio Lewin, he entered the car in several major events from 1973 onwards. The duo notably triumphed at the Vuelta Automovilista a Espana in Almería, the Rallye de la Vendimia in Almendralejo, and the 500 km Nocturnos de Alicante Rally. These victories, all achieved with low race numbers (#2 to #4), confirmed the car's competitiveness in its initial configuration.
In 1974, the car changed hands and moved to the Girona region, where it was registered D 5333 E, a plate typical of the Catalan province at the time. It was now driven by 'Crady,' the pseudonym of Juan-Bautista Martínez Gemar, who continued its successful rallying. Under his colors, the 911 S-R finished second in the Rallye Ciudad de Oviedo, then won the Rallye Cangas del Narcea and the Rallye San Cristóbal in 1976. It was also entered in the prestigious Monte Carlo Rally in January 1976, where it carried number 41, but had to retire.
After its racing career, the car remained in Spain. It passed into the hands of a Madrid-based owner in 1980, whose identity remains to be confirmed. It has been kept in the capital ever since, and now belongs to a new Spanish owner.
