Information
This Porsche 911 S-R was delivered new to Porsche Düsseldorf. It initially belonged to Günther Chrzanowski before being loaned to Georg Loos for the 1972 season.
That year, it competed in ten major races, including the Nürburgring 300 km (10th), the ECGT Paris (5th), the Monza 100 km (DNQ), the Spa and Nürburgring 1000 km (DNA, DNQ), and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Originally registered with number 78, it was ultimately reclassified as number 44 after the withdrawal of the car initially intended for that number. Unfortunately, the car retired due to engine failure.
After this difficult season, the vehicle returned to Günther Chrzanowski, who entered it again in 1974 in several DARM, DRM, and EGTC events. He achieved some notable results there, including a victory at Hockenheim (Rheintal), a second place at Zolder, and a fourth at Diepholz. However, the engine failed again that same year.
Since then, the car has vanished from sight. Its current location and state of preservation remain unknown. Its history, marked by prestigious races and mechanical mishaps, makes it a rare and intriguing relic of the European GT scene of the 1970s.
