This Porsche 911 is the 4th 911 S-R came out of factory.
This car embodies the spirit of private racing in the 1970s, an era when passionate individuals challenged the major teams with unwavering determination. Delivered in M491 Rennausführung configuration, it evolved over the seasons: a 2.8L RSR kit in 1973, a 3.0L in 1975, and then a 934 in 1977. Entered in 1972 by Eberhard Sindel under the Liqui Moly banner, it competed in a series of endurance races with mixed results—DNQ, DNF, but also respectable finishes such as 3rd at the Salzburgring and a victory at Ulm. Wilhelm Siegle joined Sindel in 1973, bringing consistency and experience.
From 1974 onwards, the car was owned by Hans and Johannes Forster. The program focused on national and regional races, with podium finishes at Salzburgring, Hockenheim, and Hügelheim. In 1976 and 1977, the 911 continued its career with the 934 kit, notably participating in the Jim Clark Rennen. Despite more modest results, it remained active until 1977. A true survivor, the 911 testifies to an undiminished passion for racing, tenaciously traversing eras and technological evolutions.
Today, its whereabouts are unknown, but its story continues to fascinate.
