Information
Destroyed at 1981 Italian GP. John Watson was exiting Lesmo bend and lost control on curbs, the car hit the wall at a high speed, engine and rear wheels were torn off as a whole part and the car burst into flames. The rear part left on track, through the smoke came Michele Alboreto's Tyrrell, Alborteo hit Watson's wreckage and retired too. Both driver escaped unharmed.
Currently the damaged chassis, with a big hole in the back, more precisely the back plane of the chassis is cut off, is being displayed as a bare monocoque at F1 Exhibition.
