At US GP West, John Watson won the race starting from 24th, setting the record of the lowest starting position to win a race.
In late 1990s, the Brunei Royal Family wanted to buy all McLaren F1 cars built under Ron Dennis' management. But at that time there wasn't any MP4/1 chassis in good condition available, the original chassis are either destroyed, modified or sold. So McLaren built two fully functional MP4/1 replicas for the Bruneians. One of these bears chassis number of MP4/1B-6, but has a suffix (M10) to distinguish from the original car. The replica chassis 6 is often seen in modern days, but it's not the original chassis.
