New chassis in 2021 as VF-21. Nikita Mazepin complained a lot about his old chassis 01 built in 2020 to be too heavy compared to Mick Schumacher's car, so after the summer break, Haas built a new chassis for him. He did feel better with the new one, and took fastest lap at 2021 Belgian Grand Prix, which only lasted one lap behind safety car in heavy rains, and the fastest lap was not recognized by FIA. However, this had become a meme.
At Qatar Grand Prix FP1, Mazepin ran wide and hit the curbs, the chassis was damaged, probably this was the most easily damaged chassis. Haas switched back to the old and heavy chassis 01 and Mazepin missed FP2. Later chassis 01 was written off too at Jeddah, making Haas in short of spare tubs.
