Information
At 1995 Monaco GP qualifying, Taki Inoue's car spun and stalled on track. The car was towed back to pitlane by recovery vehicle with Inoue in the cockpit but not buckled up. In the meantime, the Renault Clio safety car was somehow doing a demo lap with rally driver Jean Ragnotti behind the wheel with an FIA official as passenger. The safety car hit the Footwork in the rear and the F1 car flipped. Because Inoue was not wearing his seat belts, his head hit the ground twice. Luckily he was wearing his helmet, his helmet was even damaged badly, otherwise he would be in great danger. Inoue only got slight concussion and later took the race.
The Footwork was damaged severely too, its roll bar was even pulled out by the rope. Later the chassis was repaired and used as a spare car.
However this was not Taki Inoue's only unlucky and weird accident that season, later at Hungaroring, himself was hit by a medical car again.
