Information
After Michele Alboreto destroyed the first FA12 chassis ever built in a horrifying crash at Imola test, Footwork managed to built this second chassis to make FA12 have its debut at San Marino GP with Alex Claffi.
However, this chassis had the same fate. Alex Caffi crashed the car at swimming pool, Monaco during Saturday practice. The car split into three pieces with the gearbox, rear wheels and rear wing fell off as a whole part, the engine cover and sidepod also took off together. This crash was very similar to what Mick Schumacher had done at the same corner in 2022. Later the car was repaired and used as a spare tub in British GP.
