Information
Built for the 1957 show circuit, this is the first Chevy to wear the Super Sport name. First publicly displayed in December 1956 at the New York Waldorf-Astoria Auto Show, as part of GM’s Motorama exhibits. Backing the fuel injected 283 is a three-speed manual transmission. The Super Sport was crashed into a telephone pole in a 1960 street racing accident.
