• Due to Covid 19 The Amelia Island Concours and its associated events was delayed until May rather than March, the first time the event was not held in March.
• The 23rd Annual Amelia Island Sale sold an impressive 95% of lots totaling over $42 million usd
• The headline sale was the Murphy bodied 1929 Duesenberg Model J disappearing top torpedo Convertible. With an award win at Pebble Beach and a class win at Amelia Island the car sold almost two million over estimate at $5.725 million usd
• Ferraris brought impressive results starting with a Giallo Solare 275 GTB/4 with single ownership from new bringing $2.8 million usd. Followed by the 1972 New York Auto Show displayed Ferrari 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider in Giallo Fly selling for $2.45 million usd. The leading Ferrari sale and second highest result of the auction was the 1995 Ferrari F50 in U.S. Specification bringing $3.77 million usd
• Amongst the most important entrants to the 2021 sale was the 1960 Corvette LM, one of three entered by Briggs Cunningham in the 1960 24hrs of Le Mans. While not much remained of the car at the sale the barn find sold for an impressive $758,000 usd, restored and subsequently displayed at the 2023 Amelia Island Concours alongside the two other Cunningham Le Mans Corvettes.
