The Donington Grand Prix Collection
Castle Donington, England, United Kingdom
About
The Donington Grand Prix Collection was brought to life by Tom Wheatcroft, a passionate businessman, collector and enthusiast, who resurrected the Donington Motor Circuit and formed the world's largest collection of Formula 1 cars. The Grand Prix Collection as a museum started in the 1960s and held all of Tom's collected cars, as well as additional loaned cars from car manufacturers, trusts and temporary exhibitions from other collectors, one most notably being Bernie Ecclestone.
on the 5th November 2018 both the collection and the museum were made to close for good, with the manufacturer and collector cars going back to their homes, and Tom's impressive personal collection being sold and sent to other well respected collectors
