About
Jedimar is a acronym, a brand, but above all a word that contains the first syllables of the name and surnames of a visionary man, who with great social responsibility, projected his qualities beyond his generation. 'Jesús Diez Martínez,' founder of TurBus, was the man who discovered in every detail of life the positive, what had to be done, the beauty, the hand of God. He worked as a watchmaker, ventured into the manufacture of micro bodies (buses) and worked with passion in the repair of engines. He was an idea builder. In 1967, for the first time, he bought a collector's car: a 1927 Ford T. That same year he founded the Old Automobile Club of Chile with a group of friends.
Today the Jedimar collection is perhaps one of the most varied private collections of old and classic vehicles in South America. His son Jesús Diez González has been the depositary and continuation of it, and as a contribution to the Bicentennial of the country, with the support of the Tur Bus Company, he has decided to show the community the most representative of this collection in the facilities of the old sugar plant of the 'Societe Francaise du Sucreríes au Chili', built at the beginning of the 20th century and restored in 2009.
