Information
This chassis had 3 big accidents in 3 consecutive Grands Prix with Brendon Hartley in 2018.
During practice of Spanish GP, Hartley ran wide and spun on the grass. The rear end of the car hit the barrier heavily. When the wreckage was lifted by a crane, the rear end fell off. Luckily the chassis wasn't damaged.
Next race at Monaco, local driver Charles Leclerc had a brake failure, and hit Hartley in the end at Nouvelle chicane. The STR13 had its rear end damaged again.
Then at Canadian GP, Hartley collided with local driver again. After the start, he was pushed into the wall be Lance Stroll. Hartley's car went airborne for a moment and was badly damaged. It never raced again, presumably written off.
However it was repaired and given to Honda with full power unit. This car is now displayed at various events and facilities of Honda, with Pierre Gasly's #10, despite it was only raced by Hartley. Coincidentally, the other STR13 chassis owned by Honda was also written off by Hartley during 2018 season.
