Renamed and rebuilt for many times.
In 2016, it was renamed as Betsafe BGF1 and wrapped in black, appeared at Gumball 3000 at Dublin, running on the streets. Despite some press said it was a rebuilt car or newly built car, it still had the original Ferrari V8 engine. Considering this chassis appeared in original Sauber spec 2 months before the Gumball 3000 event, the BGF1 was simply renamed and wrapped.
In 2018, it was acquired by Heritage F1, and was rebuilt with a Mountune 4 cylinder engine used on F2 cars in 2012. From a photo during rebuild at Heritage F1's garage, the car had original Sauber livery on car body and Betsafe livery on rear wing, so it's confirmed this was the same car. The car was renamed HF1-018, wrapped in black-gold livery similar to John Player Special livery of Lotus. It appeared at many events and circuits, including Gumball 3000 2018. It also offered services like test drive, static and dynamic show.
In 2019 it was fitted with a halo and involved in many F1 official events. It appeared in the MV 'We've Got To Try' by The Chemical Brothers, in which human sent dogs to space for recourses and train the dogs by letting them drive F1 cars. During filming, it was actually driven by female driver Jessica Hawkins, who was a driver of Heritage F1 then and now Aston Martin F1 driver ambassador. It also appeared at road runs in Shanghai and Chicago in 2019.
This car was restored and maintained by TDF, which is basically same team as Heritage F1. It was sold with pictures of livery at the Chicago show run and actual Sauber chassis number, so the whole story can be solved.
