Information
Destroyed at 2001 Belgian Grand Prix. The driver Luciano Burti was attacking Eddie Irvine and Irvine pushed Burti on to the grass while crashing the AP04's front wing. The broken front wing stuck under Burti's wheel so he couldn't brake or turn. As a result, Burti directly crashed into the tyre barrier at 190 mph. The impact's G force was 111G. The crash was so massive that both Burti's helmet and the monocoque were damaged. To make it worse, some tyres from the barrier were thrown into the sky and landed on Burti's cockpit, hitting him into unconscious and trapped him in the cockpit. Then Irvine helped the Marshalls to rescue Burti. Thanks to the HANS device, Burti avoided serious injury. But this accident forced him to rest and resulted his replacement by Tomas Enge.
