Information
The first Prototype of a turbocharged 911.
Originally built as a concept solely to show how a Turbo 911 could look, based on a standard 911 S.
Painted in a one-off shade of silver, with the white Turbo script applied by hand. At the time, the production turbo flat six was not ready so a naturally aspirated engine was instead used, with components such as the turbo’s made out of wood and painted to look real.
After the Frankfurt Auto Show where it was revealed, Alan Hamilton purchased the car and brought it to Australia, as at the time he was the main importer of Porsche’s for this country.
After this, the car was traded through many enthusiasts in the country before in 2010 it was exported to the United States. 6 years later, the car was bought by its current owner who returned the car to Europe and fitted a genuine turbocharged engine.
