Chassis 956 - 108 was sold to Nova/Trust race team of Japan, 108 was one of the first privateer 956s sold.
With Naohiro Fujita and Vern Schuppan on the seat for the Japanese Sports Car Championship the first year it entered, it took a total of 5 Victories out of the 6 races it entered the only exception was Fuji 1000KM when Porsche showed up with a works 956.
The car opened the 1984 season with yet another victory, but suffered an accident in the second round that forced factory rebuild. A rushed timeframe meant that many 2o the car's salvageable parts were simply transplanted onto another chassis being 118
before it retuned to Japan to complete the season, it remains a mix of both cars.
