Chassis 043 is the main chassis and body of what was separated after 043’s crash at Hockenheim. 043 came under Vasek Polak ownership and was rebuilt using parts from chassis 040 which it would run under the chassis 040 for a period of time as the 043 VIN plate would be transferred to 044’s chassis, the car would eventually have its VIN changed back to 043 and come under new ownership and rebuilt using parts from 040 into its current specification.
