Information
993 GT2 R
Winner of 1997 24 Hours of Le Mans GT2 category.
The car had an accident during 1998 FIA GT Oschersleben, so the team rebuilt the whole car with a replacement body of number 0480021, and moved the VIN of the original car to it. The original car was in Speed Yellow and the replacement car was in Black. The replacement car was set for the following race at Le Mans and was painted in special livery named 'Naked Lady'. That car currently still wears the livery of 1998 24 Hours of Le Mans. However, this car, the original chassis 393085, wasn't destroyed. It has been restored and still appears at events in modern days. As a result, there're two completely different cars with different colour, livery and even body kits, bearing the same VIN.
