During 1996 BPR 4 Hours of Nogaro, Soames Langton of Lanzante Motorsport lost control in the 993 GT2, crashed heavily to the wall and knocked unconscious. His head was so badly injured that he was in coma for several years. Despite he woke up later, he was disabled and cannot make much response. This state remained the rest of his life until his death in 2011 at the age of 43, as a result of the crash and injury.
