The third prototype was the only one with a 3.9-litre T623 engine with multipoint injection, but due to its unreliability it was soon sold and it is now on display in Tatra Muzeum in Kopřivnice. Compared to previous versions, it had an upgraded interior with a new dashboard covered in white leather (later black), a new Eberspaecher heater with digital controls and manual air conditioning.
Ergonomics were improved with folding mirrors with cockpit controls, a steering wheel lock and buttons for locking the doors from the inside. The racing rocker switches were replaced by buttons from the Skoda Favorit.
It was the only one to have power steering with the option of disconnecting it, and a VDO on-board computer that included a speedometer with audible speed warning and frost warning. These modifications were in response to the problems of the first two prototypes and increasing demands for comfort and safety.
The car was also used in Kanye West - Runaway video clip.
