Information
It originally lacked an oil cooler in front of the car. The front brake cooling was handled by forcing air from the centre opening of the front spoiler, while the side openings were blanked off. After retrofitting the oil cooler, the side vents were used to cool the brakes and supply air to the cockpit.
The car never received a heater, but was ready for its installation. Air conditioning was not planned for the first two prototypes.
It was powered by a 3.9-litre E1/I series sports engine with two modified Jikov SEDR carburetors, which are still in the car today. All functional tests were carried out on this prototype, including testing the engine with multipoint injection.
The car remained in Metalex's ownership for the longest time and was sold into private hands in 1998 along with the entire project. Due to new regulations, it was difficult to register it for regular use, but eventually the registration was successful.
