Jaguar E-type S1 4.2 Frua Fixed Head Coupé 'Coombs Special'
The Jaguar E-Type is regarded as one of the most beautiful cars ever created, even John Coombs, however, he always thought of the theory that some people always wanted something more unique. Coombs set out the plan with the collaboration from Frua, who was busy working on bespoke BMWs at the time, to commence having a go at creating an E-Type Coupé that would stand out from the rest. That said with a lot of persuasion from Coombs to keep Frua on their toes, the project was done. He launched it at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show. Despite interest in the car and even some orders, Coombs cancelled the project due to the costs involved. As such, this is the only John Coombs, Frua modified E-Type that exists.
