Information
During the 1966 Le Mans test drive, this car crashed and was later sent back to FAV.
FAV salvaged some useful parts (suspension, steering rack, gearbox, wheels, gauges, radiator, etc.) and then William McKelvy employed a local farm to bury the chassis under the ground in Pittsburgh.
After that, FAV simultaneously announced the chassis had been scrapped.
Later, it was rebuilt using the original engine and gearbox with an original repaired GT40 tub.
