Information
Converted to Spider by Graypaul in 1980s.
Originally a closed coupé, chassis number ‘12249’ was specified from the factory in Grigio Le Sancy with Blue leather, Blue carpets and light grey headlining, cast alloy wheels.
Received by Maranello Concessionaires 28/03/1969 and first registered to John Haston 25.04.69 it is an original right hand drive UK car and was subsequently owned by famous Ferrari collector A P Bamford with the registration mark being recorded as ‘JCB 4’
During the late 1970’s Chassis number ‘12249’ was converted by marque specialists Graypaul Motors to 365 GTS spec, working alongside an original 365GTS for reference to create an incredibly authentic conversion using parts sourced directly from the Ferrari factory resulting in what is believed to be the only right-hand drive Ferrari 365 in Spyder configuration.
The extensive history file details work and corresponding invoicing for the period 1979-1983 totalling in excess of £28,000 spend on the project with the official dealer.
The car has been regularly maintained having undergone a substantial mechanical refresh billing in excess of £34,000 in 2018.
