Information
This is the second of just three 250 TR58s built in 1958, and it holds a special place in motorsport history. Driven by Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien, it secured overall victory at the 1958 24 Hours of Le Mans, its only major win.
It is the only 250 TR equipped with a four-spoke steering wheel, a preference of Hill himself.
Following its racing career, the car became a part of Pierre Bardinon’s renowned Mas du Clos collection. In 2006, it made a rare public appearance at the Goodwood Revival, where Phil Hill’s career was honoured. The car was driven several times during the event, most memorably on Sunday, when Hill personally took the wheel of his Le Mans-winning machine for a tribute lap.
