Winner of 1982 Dutch Grand Prix.
During the 1982 German Grand Prix, held on August 8th 1982. On a rainy practice session after qualifying Didier Pironi had an similar accident to Gilles Villeneuve's after he crashed on the back of Alain Prost. The seatbelts stayed in but he broke both of his legs, which resulted in Didier's career finish.
