Information
Ernest Friderich's car. Since it was the only one to finish, it was also the best of the four Type 32s that took part in the 1923 French Grand Prix, where it finished sixth. Registration no. was 4876 J1.
After the 1923 race, Friderich's car (4059) was sold. In mid-September 1923 (officially October 6, 1923, but she had already taken part in previous events with the car) it became the property of Elizabeth Junek of the Czech Republic. We don't know what happened to it afterwards, but we do know that around 1974 Paul Foulkes-Halbard bought parts of a car that was Friderich's T32. According to a 1983 article in The Automobile, half of the car was originally from The Tank, another quarter was original Molsheim parts, and a quarter was reproduction parts. The car was then restored (1993-1994) in Italy. A book about it was written by the restorer's son Diego Ratti.
