Information
1937 Alfa Romeo Tipo C 12C-37 - 1 of 4. Built by Alfa Corse for Varzi using a 316 chassis and 12C/37 engine. Raced widely in South America with little success. Sold to Clemar Bucci for the 1949 season. Raced through ‘55 when rebuilt for the 1956 Buenos Aires 1000km with two seat coachwork but never raced. Converted to monoposto form during the ‘70s. Sold by Roberto Girola to Brazil/ UK collector Carlos Monteverde in ‘97. Restored by Tony Merrick before sale by Symbolic Motors to Herbert Handlbauer in Austria.
