Information
8C 2900B Spider Corsa Sperimentale Balena 'Whale'
This odd-looking Alfa Romeo is the last 8C 2900 ever made and features an one-off streamlined, torpedo-like body. Gioacchino Colombo, the man behind the first V12 Ferrari engine, penned the body.
It was raced in Argentina by Carlos Pérez de Villa between 1949 and 1951 and it was found torn apart in Buenos Aires in the 80s. Evert Louwman acquired it in the late 90s and has kept it in running condition ever since and in permanent display at the Louwman Museum.
