Information
The first Alfa Romeo Grand Prix chassis since 1938, before that Alfa Romeo only supplied engines in F1. It was more a prototype than a race car. The design was completed in 1977, that's why it is called 177. The car was tested in 1978 and took 3 races in 1979, before being replaced by Alfa Romeo 179.
