A rare model designed for Japanese Group N racing.

Changes over the base GT-R included:

- Lightweight headlights

- Reinforced brake master cylinder

- Additional undercar brake cooling ducts

- Deletion of ABS

- Deletion of rear wiper

- Deletion of air conditioning

- Deletion of the sound system

- Deletion of boot carpet

All N1s were produced in a single colour, Crystal White.
