About this model

Delage offered the model from 1907 to 1910, predecessor being the Delage Type A, successor being the Delage Type U.

A single-cylinder engine from De Dion-Bouton powered the vehicles. Initially, it was the 8 H engine. It had a bore of 100 mm and a stroke of 120 mm. This resulted in a displacement of 942 cm³. The engine had an output of 8 hp. In the fifth series, the engine type 9 H was used. The increased stroke of 130 mm provided 1021 cc displacement and 9 hp of power. With this engine, the model did not receive a new type approval from the registration authority.

The chassis initially had a track width of 1180 mm and a wheelbase of 2450 to 2470 mm. In the fifth series, the wheelbase was 2475 mm. This significant extension compared to its predecessor allowed for more spacious bodies. The usual setup was a double phaeton with side access. In addition, two-seater Phaeton have survived. At the customer's request, so-called coupés and sedans as well as landaulets and panel vans were also available.

In October 2006, Peter Jacobs of the Delage Register of Great Britain compiled an overview of production figures and the number of vehicles that still exist. Numbers of models before the First World War are unknown. For this model, he confirms the construction period from 1907 to 1910. There are still eight vehicles in existence.
